Designating Leaders in Easy Llama

This article explains how administrators can designate users as Leaders in the Easy Llama platform, allowing them to oversee their direct reports and other groups of learners.

Prerequisites

Only administrators with the "All Access" role may designate leaders.

Important to know: Leaders are automatically given access to their direct reports. When you designate someone as a leader of a specific Location or Department(e.g., Mike Smith as leader of the Vancouver, Canada Location), they will have access to any learners who are under them as a direct report and they will gain visibility of all learners in the assigned Location or Department.

Designating Leaders Manually

  • Navigate to Settings > Users in your admin dashboard
  • Scroll down to the Leaders section.
  • Choose one of the methods below
Method 1: Add a New User as a Leader
  1. Click Add User
  2. Fill in the user details
  3. Remove All Access and add the Leader Access role
  4. Optionally assign them to specific locations or departments
Method 2: Convert an Existing Admin to a Leader
  1. Find the user in your list under Settings > Users
  2. Click the three dots next to their name
  3. Select Edit
  4. Change their access level to Leader
  5. Optionally assign them to specific locations or departments
  6. Click Submit to save changes

Bulk Adding Leaders

For organizations with many supervisors or managers, Easy Llama offers a streamlined process:

  1. At the top-right  of the Admin Users tab, click the "Learn How" button

  2. View a scrollable list of all potential leaders in your organization
  3. Use the Approve button to grant leader status to all listed individuals. If you want to add them individually, you will need to add them one at a time under Settings > Users (Use Method one in the first section of this article)

    Automation Options

To simplify ongoing leader management, you can automatically grant leaders access to new and promoted learners. The setting is found in the Leaders section under Settings > Users
