Phishing Simulator: Creating an Auto-Managed Program

Set up a continuous phishing awareness program in minutes. The Auto‑Managed Program automatically schedules and rotates campaigns, assigns learners, and tracks results so you can improve human risk with less manual work.

What You'll Need

  • An EasyLlama account with Security Awareness Training subscription

  • Account Admin permissions

  • Phishing Simulator configured (see Quickstart guide)

What You Can Do with an Auto-Managed Program

  • Launch a recurring program with a single click from the Campaigns screen or Risk Analysis recommendations
  • Choose frequency, deployment days, start date, and language
  • Assign to everyone or specific groups
  • Use recommended campaigns or manually select and order templates 
  • Preview the positive, guidance‑first landing page learners see if they click a link
  • Add a point of contact to help learners know where to report or ask questions

Setup Guide

To start, click Phishing > Campaigns. On the Campaigns screen, click the purple Create auto‑managed program on the Campaigns screen to start creating your program. 
 
 
You are shown several sections with settings to customize your program. Here's an overview of your customization options. 
 

Customization Options

Edit Title and Thumbnail

Keep the preset options or click on the pencil icons to rename your program or add a thumbnail. 
 

Campaign Settings

Set the Date Range, Send On date, Track Activity, and Language.
 

Assigned Learners

Assign new learners automatically, or assign Learners by clicking Assign. You will need to complete this step to launch the campaign.
  

Emails and Trainings

Accept our recommendations based on your settings or customize your campaign lineup to your own specifications.
 

Training Landing Page

Click Preview Landing Page to preview what a learner will see if they click a link in one of the simulated emails. 

Point of Contact

Click Edit in Settings to add a Point of Contact or edit an existing contact. 
 

Publish the Auto-Managed Program

Once the program is customized, click the purple Publish button at the top-right. If you don't see the Publish button, make sure you have assigned the campaign to at least one Learner! 
 
 

Viewing, Managing, and Editing Your Campaigns

You can find any campaigns and campaign drafts on the Campaigns page by searching, filtering, or navigating by campaign status in the Security Awareness Next Steps section. 
 
 
To view and manage the campaign, click on the View button. You will see the campaign details, a quick Campaign Analysis overview, and the Delivery funnel.
 
You can click the ellipses menu (⋮) at the top right to edit, pause, or end the campaign.

Yes. In the Emails and Trainings section, you can either accept recommendations or manually select and order templates.

How do I track results?
View campaign details by clicking View on any campaign. For deeper analysis, use the Reports section (see Reports and Insights).

Can I pause or end a program after it's launched?
Yes. From the Campaigns page, click View on the program, then the ellipses menu (⋮) to pause or end.

Can I translate a program into my learner's preferred language?

Yes. To configure realistic phishing simulations in your learners' preferred languages using AI translations, simply select the desired language in the Campaign Settings. The translations are applied to the simulation email, landing page, coaching tips, and training course to ensure learners fully understand the training and coaching they receive after a simulation.
