LMS SCORM integration - Using EasyLlama's courses in your LMS
Deploy EasyLlama training content in your existing Learning Management System using SCORM files while maintaining progress tracking and analytics in your EasyLlama dashboard.
Before You Start
What You'll Need

- Knowledge of your LMS's supported SCORM versions
- Administrative access to both the LMS and EasyLlama dashboard
- Sufficient EasyLlama training seats for your learners
- Contact with EasyLlama support at Support@EasyLlama.com
Deploy SCORM Files in Your LMS
Step 1: Request SCORM files from EasyLlama
Email support@easyllama.com with:
- Subject: "SCORM File Request"
- List of the specific courses you need
- Your preferred SCORM format (or we'll recommend SCORM 2004)
Supported formats: AICC, CMI5, SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 4th edition, Tincan
Step 2: Receive and download files
EasyLlama support provides download links for the requested SCORM files. Download and securely store these files for upload to your LMS.
Step 3: Upload to your LMS
NOTE: For LMS-specific upload instructions, contact the LMS’s support team or review their help center.
- Log in to the LMS administration panel.
- Navigate to course/content management section.
- Upload the SCORM files provided by EasyLlama.
- Configure any LMS-specific settings as needed.
Step 4: Assign courses to learners
- Use the LMS's course assignment functionality.
- Assign the EasyLlama SCORM courses to appropriate learners/groups.
- Configure completion requirements and tracking settings.
Step 5: Monitor in EasyLlama dashboard
Once learners access courses in your LMS:
- Learner records automatically appear in EasyLlama.
- Progress tracking syncs back to the EasyLlama dashboard
- Analytics are available in Insights section
- Seat usage is tracked against your subscription
Post Deploy Management
Data synchronization
What syncs to EasyLlama:
- Learner progress and completion status
- Course interaction data
- Assessment scores (where supported)
- Learner identification (varies by LMS)
LMS limitations: Different LMS systems send varying amounts of learner data. Some include names and employee IDs; others send minimal identifiers.
Certificate configuration
Option to hide certificates: Email support@easyllama.com if you want to disable certificate downloads within the SCORM content.
Learner & seat management
Important: Unassigning courses or archiving users in your LMS doesn't free up seats or archive the Learners in EasyLlama. It is recommended that you regularly:
- Log into your EasyLlama dashboard.
- Review active assignments.
- Unassign courses that have not been started or are <10% completed to return seats to your balance.
- Archive inactive learners as appropriate.

Automatic updates
Auto-magic 💫 updates: In most cases, course updates are automatically pushed to your SCORM files—no need to request new files for content updates!
Helpful Tips
Ensure there are enough seats to allocate
Ensure you have enough EasyLlama training seats for all learners accessing SCORM courses. Insufficient seats cause access errors.
Monitor seat usage
Regularly check the EasyLlama dashboard to unassign completed courses and free up seats, as LMS unassignments don't automatically update EasyLlama.
Not all learner data syncs
Different LMS systems send varying data. Don't assume all learner details (names, IDs, departments) will appear in EasyLlama automatically.
Quick Questions
Which SCORM format should I choose?
If unsure, start with SCORM 2004 4th edition (most widely compatible). Contact your LMS vendor for their recommended format.
Do I need new SCORM files for course updates?
Usually, no! Most updates automatically propagate to existing SCORM files. EasyLlama will notify you if a new file version is required.
Can I customize the SCORM content?
SCORM files are provided as-is. For customization requests, contact EasyLlama support to discuss options and potential development requirements.
How does learner identification work?
Identification varies by LMS. Some systems send full learner details; others send minimal identifiers. This is controlled by your LMS, not EasyLlama.
